The politics of cuts continue worldwide in a frenzy in the name of austerity and budget deficit reduction, with the clear feeling that something is wrong. The cuts appear to be happening only in certain obvious areas.

A question to be asked is perhaps the following: could we reduce the salaries of Moray’s councillors of £94,000 over three years?
